Church

We went to church tonight .When it was 7:45 pm and no one else was there ,Brian called to check on everyone to see if anyone was coming and no one was coming. So he decided we would each pick a song to sing .So everyone in our family picked a song we sang them and was home at 8:25 .Very discouraging.

Oh that is a major bummer. I've never lived in a small assembly before, and I would be upset if we was the only family there. I think that is almost how Palisade church is now. One family. So sad.

I actually looked at this differently I guess. I thought it was incredibly sweet that your family had church together and didn't just get up and leave. What a great example for your kids. Keep your chin up. Things will get better.

Yeah that would be discouraging. Im sorry. However, your family could almost make a church on its own....hehehe Hopefully you found the humor in that...LOL Like Sis. Joanne said, "Keep your chin up!"

Actually, I was looking at it the same way that Sis. JoAnn did. I'm sorry that you were discouraged, though. I could definitely find it discouraging if we were the only family at Church, but when looking at others, it doesn't seem that way. I'm glad that you all stayed and sang some. Sometimes people forget to sing (I usually don't, but others do, I know), and that's a good way to take a little time out of the day and do it. If I had been there, I think that with the disappointment, I would have come away encouraged, just because of that. It would have had me singing the whole way home!

Of course, I tend to sing the whole way home, ANYWAY!, but....

that happens to us a bit here in our assembly, its good to be able to sing a bit with your family, i remember when i was very young and we were all sick or a lot of us were, we would sing at home. i know its different but your kids will never forget.
