The Bathroom Remodel

The bathroom all tore out and getting ready for shower
We forgot to put this part on the shower knob so Mackenzie had to climb in behind the shower and help us.
Brian working on sheetrocking the bathroom wall.

Well the addition part of our house has come to a stall. We have started the remodel of our main bathroom. What we hoped would not be too big a job has turned pretty big.We started by taking everything out of the bathroom last thursday night. Then on friday morningwe left to head to Bend to retreive all plumbing and shower stuff .Which ended up taking us until 2:30 to return home with our truck load of stuff. We removed a manufactured home plastic bathtube and we are replacing it with a fibrglas shower stall. It has been alot of work ,mainly the plumbing part.Brian does not like plumbing and I guess thats why he is a carpenter instead. So now we have the shower in and the toilet in and a real nice old jean quilt door.We continue working on it everyday, when Brian is home.He hopes by next week to be ready for the tile floor .He got this real nice tile off a job free when Bro.Colin lived here and he worked for him at the Bend high school. We could sure use a good tile setter next wee if anyone knows one.....hint,hint if Cheri and Lee are out there let them know.

How exciting! It looks like work, but improvement. Wish we could come see it. It is so neat when the kids can take part in the remodel in some small way, such a learning experience. It also makes them feel so terribly important.

Oh my goodness how exciting! We remodeled so many things in our last house too. It was so exciting, but yet a ton of work! Den hates plumber stuff to do, and I never heard the end of it...hehehe I really have enjoyed your comments on my blog.Your point of view on things is so refreshing!

Looks like things are going good. Actually we are going out to Portland in August. But hopefully you will have your bathroom by then.
