Fun I n The Snow!

Snow !yeah!

Well the weather finally changed from feeling like spring to winter .Up until wedesday of last week the kids were wearing heavy coats to school in the morning because it was about 30 out in the morning .When they came home they would be carrying it and wearing just their short sleeved shirts cause it was 65 out.

Then it started getting colder on thursday and by saturday we had some dusting of snow.The kids had to get out all the snow gear (snow suits ,hats,heavy gloves,boots,hats).More snow on sat night and sunday .It is very powdery and has no moisture in it .The kids were hoping for no school or a delay but it didn't happen today .It only got up to 8 degrees today and the computer said with the wind chill it felt like - 9 .It is supposed to be colder than that the next 3 days.Brrrr.

Bomb Scare

So our kids go to school in this little town called Culver .Nothing ever really happens there and it is a good school .All 3 schools high,middle and elementry are all on the same campus in one big block. So yesterday when the kids got to school they were told there was a note taped to the front door of the elemntry doors saying there was abomb that would go off sometime between tuesday and friday.The school sent the kids to a nearby church until 9:30 while the school was checked out by the police and athorauties.They brought home a note telling about it.

Then this morning I went back to bed after they left for school and at 7:35 when Tyrel got to school they found out that there was another note and a box in front of the school and it said this is the first of 3 packages to be delivered .School was canceled and Tyrel was calling home on a friends cell phone to say they were on their way back home.The bomb squad from Salem was called in and the school was searched and it has been determined it was a hoax .There is a reward being offered for information on this bomb scare.

There is a message on the school web site that says school will resume tommorrow and it being watch thru out the night .And there will be law enforcement there the rest of the week.
